In collaboration with the Interledger Foundation, the Financial Innovation Hub brings together the greatest minds on the African continent to spearhead research and innovation in financial technologies. Positioned within Africa's largest technology hub - the Cape Town to Stellenbosch corridor, often referred to as the Silicon Valley of Africa and home to more than 450 tech startups - the Financial Innovation Hub is located at the centre of the University of Cape Town, the continent's leading research institution.
With the overarching goal to create a local ecosystem of academics, students, and entrepreneurs, the Financial Innovation Hub is comprised of four components:
